We don’t do wedding
Not that we don’t find value in celebratory flash and dash of the wedding ceremony, but we don’t do short-term thinking here at GG. We’re all about making the marriage work. What blogging strategies do is they create a long-term partnerships where constant dialogue happens between us and our partners, which then extends to our clients prospective customers and current ones.
Successful blogging strategies create a running dialogue about your brand that endures and sticks in your customers’ craw.
Strategy #1 – Brand Story-telling and its benefits
Despite the current dominance of the noise machine out there telling people to use only visual stories at the expense of the written word, there are some things that just can’t be expressed in any other way than in the format of written paragraphs.
For one, it takes more time and effort to think, read and write. When you first sit down to write a blog post, there is no filter between what your brand wants to express and the electronic white space you are staring at. When done correctly, it’s the most powerful way to engender trust, expertise, and authority.
Because it’s been around since Gutenberg invented the printing press, words continue to be one of the best ways to communicate your thoughts to others and frame an emotional ecosystem that benefits both writers and readers.
Have you ever come back to words you wrote in the margins of books you read or posts on other blog sites? Those thoughts are frozen in time and give you a direct connection to past and present.
Blogging helps with brand saliency, meaning your brand stays top-of-mind in your readers because the written word is sticky.
